Accounting Specialist II

Salary / Wage: Dependent on Experience

Description:

Record all incoming checks, remits, receipts. Retrieve electronic remits for various insurances. Distribute insurance payments to billing team. Prepare deposits. Daily use of online banking systems and HDC’s general ledger accounting system. Balance/reconcile general ledger cash activity to patient billing system entries. Prepare daily and monthly cash reports. Prepare bi-weekly payroll and record payroll activity in the general ledger. Calculate and journalize monthly payroll accrual. Reconcile general ledger amounts to payroll system. Perform other accounting duties as assigned. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer. Must have general knowledge of computers and computerized accounting systems. Occasional overtime may be required.

 

Qualifications:

Associates degree in Accounting or related field or two years relevant accounting experience.

Homeless Program Case Manager – San Marco – Duluth, MN

Full-time Homeless Program Case Manager based at the New San Marco site. Be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing intensive case management, crisis intervention, mental health assessments, housing, and supportive services for homeless and at risk individuals with mental illness and/or a dual diagnosis of MI and CD. Must be able to effectively manage crisis situations, work independently, communicate with individuals and groups, provide advocacy for clients, maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, police and corrections, and various community organizations providing services to homeless persons.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field and 2000 hours of supervised mental health experience or 6000 total hours of documented mental health experience. Requires excellent documentation and organizational skills, advocacy and community involvement in housing and homeless issues, a valid driver’s license, ability to transport clients in own vehicle.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Cultural competence serving diverse population. Experience working with homeless persons or those at risk of becoming homeless with mental illness and/or dual diagnosis of MI and CD. Experience with housing programs and advocacy preferred. Understand and embrace the principles based on the Housing First and Harm Reduction Models. Experience with HMIS, and grant funding. Non-judgmental, team player, outgoing, and compassionate.

Support Staff – Insurance Verification

Follow up with insurance companies, data entry into the electronic health record system, primary source verifying insurance and eligibility with insurance companies, and coordinate with billing department regarding billing issues. Qualifications:
