Mental Health Practitioner – Cook County

SUMMARY: The Mental Health Practitioner work with both adults and children who have mental health problems. They will provide community support services through the ARMHS, CTSS, and/or outreach programs.

DUTIES:  To work effectively within Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services and Outreach services that help clients to live more successfully and independently in the community.  Have knowledge of, and be able to teach skills related to coping, relapse prevention, and basic household and living skills. Qualifications:

Case Manager Team – Homeless Project – Full-Time

Clinical Supervisor CTSS Trauma Program

Licensed Mental Health professional to provide clinical supervision to the 1406 CTSS Trauma Program staff. Responsible for participating in weekly CTSS Trauma Team meetings, meeting with assigned CTSS practitioners bimonthly, review of client case load, and review of documentation as required by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.  This position is responsible for clinical supervision of services delivered by CTSS practitioners in addition to assisting in the employment and performance management of employees.  This position will work collaboratively with the Director of Child Trauma Services and Supervisor of Child Outreach Services.

Qualifications:

Must be licensed as a Mental Health Professional and have experience providing trauma assessment and treatment to children and their families, and a good understanding of documentation requirements for both DHS CTSS and the Trauma Assessment Family Treatment Program, completion of TF-CBT certification.

Provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and other groups including such activities as client diagnostic assessment, needs assessments, treatment planning, progress reporting and case review. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: DNP degree a plus. Ability to treat children and adults is desired, but not required. Previous work experience in a community mental health clinic or other psychiatric clinic setting and in primary care settings as a NP/CNS. Also, knowledge of addictions and experience working with adults as well as other age populations; knowledge of community psychiatric systems and resources. Minimum of five (5) year of experience as a psychiatric nurse.
