Children’s Mental Health Case Manager/Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports Practitioner — Cloquet, MN

Description:

Assist families in accessing necessary services to meet mental health issues of children ages 0-18.  Provide individual, group, and family skills training based on the treatment plan.  Goals of the program are to improve the functioning of children in home, in school and in the community.  Requires flexible scheduling and some evening work in order to meet with families in their homes.  Great opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, psychologists, and child psychiatry.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in human services and at least one year’s, post Bachelor’s experience providing mental health services to children (2000 hrs), or Master’s degree in human services completed or in progress. Ability to conduct and teach therapeutic skills in an individual, group, and family setting. Must be able to follow clinical direction of mental health professional and tailor skills services to unique needs of the child. Must be able to effectively teach social skills, independent living skills, emotional regulation, and basic parenting skills. Ability to work with schools, children, and families to address mental health issues. Good verbal and written communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working collaboratively with a mental health team. Experience teaching and/or providing mental health services to chronically stressed families.

Provide mental health treatment services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness including assertive outreach, service coordination, case management, symptom management, supportive therapy and rehabilitative/skill training services.  The primary emphasis is direct individual client contact in community settings.  Participate in agency 24 hour crisis line rotations.

 

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field with 1,000 hours of supervised post-degree clinical experience with seriously and persistently mentally ill persons, or a bachelor’s degree in a field other than Human Services with 2,000 hours of supervised post degree clinical experience with persons with chronic mental illness. Application and/or resume must outline how applicant meets the minimum experiential requirement working with adults with serious and persistent mental illness.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous employment in a Community Support or other outreach program performing in-home and community services working independently with adults with serious and persistent mental illness.
