HDC exists because of its mission It is important to us that we educate the public about issues surrounding mental health disorders, including their recognition, prevention, and treatment. Fidgety Fairy Tales promotes a better understanding of childhood mental health concerns and we are proud to have brought this to our communities. Our dedicated actors and directors traveled from Barnum to Grand Marais and from Floodwood to Superior, and most places in between, to deliver this important message. Congratulations on a job well-done!

From Joel Soukkala- Director at the County Seat Theater

“It has been a long road, but now that we are in the final performances I hate to see it end. We have shared a wonderful message with thousands of young children. At one of our Wisconsin performances a young girl got up at the end of the show, stood in front of the entire student body and said into the microphone, “I have AD/HD. Thank you for doing this show for me.” My eyes filled with tears, as did the eyes of three teachers sitting around me, and my heart filled with pride as the students gave the young girl a loud round of applause. At that moment I knew how much this show affected others, and how it would always affect me.”
