HDC has now moved to a more private and secure location!
Two Harbors, MN – The Human Development Center is continually growing and expanding our services to meet the mental health needs of Lake County and towards this end, HDC will be relocating the Two Harbors clinic. Starting December 9th, HDC will relocate to the Lake View Hospital Building, approximately a mile from its current location. This relocation will be a benefit to the community and provide more privacy for our clients.
The current trend in mental health treatment is to collaborate closely with medical professionals which is proven to enhance the quality of services. Relocating to Lake View Hospital, HDC clients will be assured high quality care coordination. It will also provide HDC the chance to expand on our services with added space and equipment. The new clinic at the Lake View Hospital building has a room equipped to provide Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. In this treatment, families participate in weekly sessions that provide training for parents on how to manage their young child’s behavior while improving the parent child relationship. This location will further facilitate our mission of providing integrated, culturally respectful mental health and addiction services that foster hope, self-determination, and recovery.
